Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Locals seem to like this a lot it certainly adds a little to the bay, but it is just a fountain albeit one in the sea. It is not something I can can enthused about.

same as some other cities as Geneva, there is a fountain in the middle of the harbour. It won't operate all the time. It is nice to see it but I won't say it is very special.

It was not working but the concrete base was there so one assumes it still operates from time to time but we missed it. Having seen it before with water it is interesting but just your average fountain. It was erected in 1973 and named the oriental bay Fountain but changed to the name its benefactor who died around that time. They need to get it fixed.

It is a fountain located in Oriental bay and becomes a focal point of the area. I would love to have seen it at night time when it lights up but unfortunately ran out of time to do so. The water gushes out and yes it is just a fountain but nice all the same to view on a lovely sunny day and take a few photos.

Having seen the fountain on Lake Geneva, and in Singapore then sorry this is just a fountain. However it enhances the harbour area at nighttime with the changing colours and you can see it from the mounts and the warf area. It is a lovely feature to have.

I actually viewed the fountain from the 25th Floor of the James Cook Hotel - several kilometers away (see photo).
It certainly is a pleasant feature of the landscape, especially on a beautiful day like today!

Nice way of adding a focal point for the bay. Not that oriental parade needs it but it still adds a bit of interested. At night it looks pretty when lit up.

Not spectacular but it is a nice feature to see out in the harbour while walking along Oriental Parade. It only operates at certain times of the day and not at all when it is windy. Looks better at dusk and after dark when it is lit up for a time.

We were walking around the Oriental Bay harbour during day and couldn't see this fountain. It was in the evening when the fountain lights up and changes colour. You can see it from quite a far and makes for a nice photo.
