This place is unbelievable! After weather prevented us doing the Hooker Valley Track, we headed to the Glacier instead and we are so pleased we did. A great path, good signage and those views!!! Absolutely breathtaking.

It's a long drive off the main road to visit Mt Cook so take the time for a walk to get a view of the Tasman Glacier. It's a further drive up the Tasman Valley. But the road is good and has some interesting bridges....More

I came here with a boat tour. The weather was so nice and clear. I could see Mt Cook very clearly. The problem was the glacier. It was covered by dirt so it was basically black and gray. Not blue and emerald.
Went with Glacier Explorers hiked to glacier, not too bad. Boats to get up close to glacier and ice "bergs" in the water spectacular. Must see. You can hike to the glacier also but this trip was amazing, were on the lake for an hour....More
