We arrived 25 mins before closing and were welcomed well by Naomi. She was friendly, Knowledgeable, and we loved the tastings. And yes we did buy and not what we had thought we would before entering. We benefited greatly by Naomi's suggestions. We'll be back in the future 🍷

Hillary took us through a wine tasting and she was so kind, patient and well informed. Really nice selection of balanced, well-made wines. Definitely the best experience we had at a cellar door in Marlborough. We completely recommend you visit Giesen and ask for Hillary, she's great :D.

Visited Giesen on a cycle wine tour on Saturday - did the wine tasting which was great and informative and had a lovely platter lunch. The restaurant was busy and we were given a bottle of water on sitting down and then offered drinks straight away. They advised us that there was unfortunately a 20 min wait on dishes due... More

Great place to go to try the wines. Ifor you have enough time stop and have lunch. Good sized carport so not hard to get parking like other wineries in the area. The platter is sensational and I defiantly recommend that with any wine you choose. Love the tasting. Lovely area for kids to run about too.

We were Aussie's who loved Giesen Wines. Not any more. The lady who conducted the Wine Tasting was abrupt and extremely unfriendly. We did not deserve the way we were treated, and that staff member is giving that Cellar Door a very poor reputation. A blemish on what was otherwise a perfect 14 day NZ experience.

Naomi served us and gave us great explanations of the different wines and grape growing variations. Wines are first class, and a welcoming cheerful feeling is received when you walk through the door.

We stopped here towards the end of our cycle tour of the vineyards, as our 7th on the trip my tasting appetite was certainly diminished from the start of the day. However the friendly service, beautiful surrounding and amazing cheese and wine certainly left me feeling happy we decided to give this place the final stop on our tour! Lovely... More

My friends and I did a cycling wine tour, Giesen was our 3rd winery and we were really looking forward to this one as we enjoy their Riesling. It was pouring with rain which was unfortunate, so we parked up our bikes in the rain and quickly ran to the entrance. My friend had her phone in her bag and... More
