I go there often as I live here but one particular visit stands out. It was one of the "Lazy Sundays" concerts in the park on a summer Sunday afternoon. You take a blanket, a picnic basket, meet up with friends and laze in the...More

A beautiful place to walk and admire. We also visited the memorial/tribute to the mosque shooting, so many flowers, letters/cards, teddy’s and candles, very overwhelming! The aroma and out pouring of love was very moving.

Beautiful place to take a walk and enjoy nature right in the middle of the city. The variety of plants, flowers and trees was impressive.

Worth paying for the guided landtrain tour. These get fully booked and only run every hour. The guide was very interesting. There was one short stop during the one hour tour. The Canterbury museum is right next to the gardens and well worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful gardens that seem to stretch on and on. The rose and dahlia gardens were particularly impressive, along with the houses that contained the cacti and jungle plants.

More than likely there will be begonias is the greenhouse in flower. There could be several other plants in bloom depending on what the gardeners have been planting in some of the rotational beds.
