Top wines - superb venue - faultless food & service ! If you haven't been, then put it top of your list ! They even provided our 4 year old with pictures & pens which kept her occupied whilst we wined & dined !! Our family's ages ranged from 65 - 4 years and we all confirmed it as our... More

Note - Pegasus Bay is not in Christchurch, as it says in the Tripadvisor info. It's in Waipara, approx 45 drive out of Christchurch. Watch out for the main highway turnoff, very close to 'Waipara Hills' winery, which is on the main highway. The scenery at Pegasus Bay Winery is gorgeous and we had a good walk around before entering... More

A friend recommended we visit here at the start of a Nth Canterbury holiday (from Auckland) and I cannot recommend this place more highly. The food and service were the best I have experienced. We arrived very late 3.30pm due to a hiccup at the airport but were greeted like family and made to feel like nothing was too much... More

They have an excellent selection of wines and are generous with their tastings. Their staff are knowledgable and their wines are great. The views and grounds are spectacular.

Three of us went for lunch to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed. The food and service were great and the outdoor seating area was spot on on a lovely warm Canterbury day. The vegetarian meal for my daughter was very nice and my husbands meal was delicious. I enjoyed the lamb but after ordering the dips and... More

Treated my boyfriend to wine tasting and lunch for his birthday. The wine, especially the Riesling and Pinot Noir were some of the best we have tried in New Zealand. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious- particularly the venison and lamb dishes. Service was relaxed and friendly and we felt well looked after by Leighton. A lovely day... More

We went for a long leisurely lunch on a Saturday and had a great experience. The food is high end and beautifully presented. The service is effortless and calm. The location is special especially if you sit outside.

We just happened to arrive about 430 PM and were initially the only ones tasting the wine. The wine tasting was complimentary, something that is long gone in California. We really enjoyed the Rieslings. We then went outside and experienced a wonderful garden and pond with ducks and a white swan. All in all a great time.

I was lucky enough to attend a wedding breakfast at Pegasus Bay Winery and it was amazing! The location is stunning, building gorgeous and the furniture was perfect. And I haven't even made it to the food and wine yet!! We were seated upstairs for our private function, where the waitstaff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, describing the menu and... More

I fear Pegasus Bay has become a victim of its own success - on previous visits it probably deserved the awards heaped upon it but this last visit was a failure. I shared a Pegasus Bay Platter with a friend to start. It look muted and it tasted muted. The only standout was the bread - it was rich and... More
