This place allows visitors to enter the square garden inside, but it's enough to feel you are visiting England instead of New Zealand. The beautiful heavy Victorian style along with the green garden let you feel you are in the antique times.

This grand old building is the first in Ch-ch, set up by the founding fathers, - the Anglican church. It represents the Britannic side of NZ & Ch-ch history and is worth a look.

A visit to the college grounds feels like you have been transported to the mother country. Very nice buildings and good to see them repaired after the quake.

When I walked in here I felt as though I must be in England. Even the newer buildings have been built to maintain the older style. These types of schools are so English.

A boys boarding school built in stone circa 1850. It's gorgeous, very central and charming beyond measure. It has survived the earthquake thanks to a visionary old boy and legendary Christchurch architect sir miles warren, who urged strengthening decades ago. A lot of Christchurch had...More

Very picturesque secondary private school on Rolleston, next to old Public Library and across the road from the original Canterbury University.
