Took the Black Cat ferry over on Sat morning and wer spent three hours there. Kids had a ball and the sheltered beach and bay made it awesome, We have friends with boats so it made the trip even better with skiing and seabiscuit fun....More

The ferry from Lyttelton is quite expensive at $30 per adult return but definitely worth it. There are only 2 ferries a day so check your timings. It is a wonderful place to visit, so quiet but so much to see as you walk round...More

this is not easily accessible, unless you have a boat,kayak. can almost walk to from mainland at high tide. beautiful scenery. We paddle around it regularly.
