Thanks so much chibbert! We're grateful we have so many enthusiastic ambassadors like you in Dunedin! We hope you have a Dunedin Host Card? That gives people who've paid a full fare to travel free when they bring a paying guest. And aren't we are...More

Thanks Gabrielle Pleased you had a great day, and thanks for your compliments on Bruce's guiding. You're right that winter is a good time to see the wildlife - and indeed a cold southerly wind is best for albatross flying! That's why they live here!...More

Our trip was booked well in advance and, as it happened, the weather was bitterly cold and the cloud very low. I had dressed very warmly for the trip (layers of Merino), and to their credit Monarch provided everyone with a fleece line coat to...More

Sorry you didn't enjoy the trip SleepyInParadise. Being cold and seasick is no fun, especially when other people are having a great trip, as they did on that particular good wildlife viewing day. Obviously we have no control over the weather but the cool windy...More

1 hour cruise (or a bit more) that flies way to fast and where you get to see tons of royal and buller albatrosses (especially if it is windy) in the water, circling above the boat or flying next to the cliffs. Commentaries add to...More

We loved this boat tour, as it was just long enough to see lots of wildlife -- both in the sky and in the water. The boat captain and staff also could not have been more pleasant and helpful. It was just a great experience...More
