Visited on Monday 30th April. We were disappointed to see it covered in scaffolding on the outside but then realised that they were trying to perserve this heritage building for future generations. The inside was Magnificent and worth taking the time to visit.

I love the fabric of a church and this was no exception. Very nice architecture and has had major renovations recently. Well worth a visit, check out the history and enjoy the tranquility

We had a Scotsman from Edinburgh as our guide. This church is an important landmark in Dunedin. Check out the old photos and memorabilia in the attached museum.

We did not go into this building but from the outside it looked like a lot of the older ones of similar style in Britain and Europe, if you like Churches or Cathedrals it would be worth a visit.

The church has a nice architecture and is a medium size church. The church was under a major renovation during our visit but visitors are still allowed to visit the interior of the church. The entrance to the car park/church compound can be quite confusing...More

It was very peaceful and quiet inside. The decor prob looked exactly the same when it was first built. There was only 1 large stained glass but overall I thought it was serene and peaceful and to see a piece of history of Dunedin.

The First Church is not far from the Octagon. At the time of our visit, they were renovating the church, but we could still enter. It is quite historic, and will probably be restored to its old grandor. The inside is like an oasis. If...More

One of Dunedin's iconic buildings. It is beautiful inside and out. If you can get in to have a look around it's even better.
