Wow. This was an amazing, beautiful drive that rewarded us with sea lion spots on more than one occasion. We didn't actually go in to the albatross centre but did visit the tiny cove nearby ( not allowed on beach but there is a viewing area). We took the Portobello road out and the high road back. Definitely do both.... More

Well worth the trip out of the city, along the bay, beautiful scenery. Watch out for other drivers not taking too much care on the roads

We went to see the albatrosses on the cliffs. We had some fantastic views of them nesting and coming in to land from the hide on the cliff. You can also see a short film about them in the centre.

The land and seascapes provide a natural sanctuary for marine wildlife and an opportunity for visitors to view them in their own environment. You could spend a week wandering the largely deserted beaches an see something new every... More

A rural setting just outside Dunedin. Highly recommend a visit and a stay. Opportunities to see sea lions, penguins, albatross, abundant birds.

The only mainland colony in the Southern Hemisphere. Has a indoor display and outdoor guided nesting sites with viewing platforms.

The Otago Peninsula is one of the beauty spots to visit when in New Zealand. Quite a few attractions, such as Larnach Castle. The only castle in New Zealand. The Royal Albatross Colony. The yellow Eyed Penguins, the tiny Blue Penguins, Sea Lions and much more. It is a treasuretrove of attractions.
