The house is an imposing feature to this garden and you can imagine the original owners opening the double bay doors to look out on their well manicured garden. Well the garden is still well manicured, but sadly the house is still closed up. I...More

The gardens are a delight but the house had been closed up for three years for restoration. It is sad as you can see the gardens are being tendered lovingly. The ducks were friendly though!

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Anderson park is one of Invercargill's hidden treasures. Sadly it is currently closed due to Earthquake renovation. We can only hope it is up and running again before too lond.

A lovely long driveway leads to a hidden gem. A mixture of modern sculpture alongside the beauty of a 100 year old monkey tree.

A magnificent two storey house, with a great childrens playground, short bush walk, duck pond. Also a pavilion for birthday parties or get togethers.

Not worth a special trip to see a closed art gallery but the garden was nice in an English sort of way. The Maori hut was pretty special and a local guy explained the nature and significance of the structure. I hope both buildings reach...More
