Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If your pressed for time you could skip some of the prior spots like Eglinton Valley and Mirror Lakes. But this is where the splendour of Milford Sound really starts, so you should absolutely stop here. A great place to stop and really soak up the view.

Without the international tourists, it was blissfully quiet, which made it even better. I dread the day that the floodgates open and it gets overwhelmed again.

Stopped here after leaving Milford Sound, set up our deck chairs and had lunch by the natural spring fed creek. Very relaxing and peaceful with views of huge mountains all around. Two kea came to visit us. What beautifully coloured friendly birds they are. Filled our water bottles with clear cold water from the creek before leaving. Well worth the stop. Just remember don’t feed the kea and beware they like to eat the rubber seals on cars.

Stopped on the way to Milford sound as part of coach trip.
Only a quick stop for photos for this little creek with the clearer cleanest tasting water ever - you can fill your bottle and then move on to next destination.
Good stop for a break is self driving

Visited on Friday 4th May. This was another stop on our coach trip to Milford Sound. A change to get out and explore close up.

Great spot to potter by river while looking out for Whio and Kea. Didn't spot them this trip. We will have to come back :-)

Thought it was good enough to drive past. When we stopped, there were no kea in sight and the creek was tiny. Didn’t think it was worth the stop. Better views nearby hollyford valley and pop’s lookout

Stopped here to check out the creek and was told the water is drinkable. Filled up our bottles here and the water was icy cold and clear. Kea loiter around here but please do not feed!
Kids would love this place to drink directly from the creek and hop over the rocks.

Often Kea can be found here, on a clear day a good spot for some great photos, and a little rest before going thru the tunnel.

This is an incredibly picturesque stopover on the way to Milford Sound.
The creek's water are clear, the valley is amazing and you can also get lucky and see some Keas.

It is a must stop spot on the road to Milford Sound, surrounded by mountains. This glacier fed creek is a magnificent site.
