What an amazing cruise on a nice ship with a knowledgeable host narrating the trip. A 14 mile cruise from the terminal to the Tasman ocean and back. Bring your camera as you'll get some beautiful shots. This review WOULD be five stars if the service on board was even of average quality. I stood at the bar for ten... More

Our coach tour director purchased tickets for us at the pier for about a one hour ride and a buffet lunch on the Milford Monarch. There was very little in the lunch that we felt was tasty except the ice cream. There is noting else in Asia like Milford Sound, so the experience was outstanding. Fortunately the Milford Monarch wasn't... More

Cruise departs at 4.30pm when all the other tour companies have ended their day cruises. Yours is only one of 2 boats on Milford Sound until about 9 am the next morning. So you get to see AND hear the best of Milford Sound. There is the choice of kayaking or taking a spin in a tender to get up... More

We were a family of four and went on the overnight Doubtful Sound tour. This is truly one of the best boat trips/excursions of any kind we have done as a family -- and we have travelled all over the world. The company is super professional and well organized. They also provide real personal touches all along the way. My... More

Overall this experience was just okay. It's a huge day of travelling for what you see. You're picked up in the early morning and on a bus for close to 6 hours before you even get to Milford Sound. We were picked up at 7:20 from our hotel and we greeted by a driver who was clearly just going through... More

After a 2 hour drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound, we arrived under grey, gloomy skies. But......stunning, dramatic landscape, it just added to the experience. Driving through the peaks, Homer Tunnel and more was brilliant, not to different to roads back in Australia. We ordered lunch on our Cruise....fresh Sandwiches, and in our lunchpack, something for everyone......sandwich, fruit, water,... More

We were on the Milford Wanderer overnight cruise and were so glad for the experience. My wife was apprehensive as she gets seasick but even when it was windy she was fine. They anchored in a very sheltered bay for the night which also helped. Only recommend packing a small overnight bag which is what we did - we just... More

Enjoyed the overnight cruise on the Mariner very much! Excellent vegetarian gluten-free food options, comfortable-enough bed, stocked bar, as much coffee hot chocolate and tea as you can drink. The nature guide, Blair, was quite fun and cool; told wonderful stories about the area and marine life. Didn't see much marine life unfortunately, but that's the luck of the draw!... More

Even though it rained much of the first day, this was our favorite part of our 2 week NZ vacation. The cruise is amazing, the scenery and animals are incredible and Real Journeys crew does a great job letting you know what is happening and makes the whole thing feel comfortable. They are very knowledgable and even though the boat... More

My Partner and I had been looking forward to this cruise. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day, it rained the whole time wiuld of been amazing if was sunny however some of the views were still amazing. We got to see waterfalls up and close. Even lucky enough to see dolphins and seals. Trip and the drive from Te Anau... More
