If you have even a passing interest in the wines of this region, then this is a tour for you! It takes 5.1/2 hours + and includes a good quality lunch at one of the venues (we were at Carrick). Our group of 7 people (plus Dave, our guide) made for a very engaging and good humoured day. Dave was... More

My husband and I booked a private gourmet wine tour with Appellation Central Wine Tours as part of our holiday to New Zealand and we can honestly say that this tour was one of the highlights of the trip. Our guide, David, picked us up from our accommodation in Queenstown and provided commentary about the area on the drive to... More

Martin picked our group of 3 up at 11 a.m., and we were joined by another group of 3 people. We visited 4 Central Otago wineries, each of them quite different. The second stop included lunch, which was incredibly tasty and uniquely paired with the wines. The tour was extraordinary; we all felt like Martin knew each winery, which allowed... More

We were picked up at the hotel at 11. There were 9 of us on the tour. David was our guide. He very knowledgeable about wine in general and enthusiastic about Otago wines in particular. It was a leisurely trip with tastings at Amisfield, Wooing Tree and Mt Rose and a nice lunch with a glass of wine at Carrick..

We booked through a company in the US and this was the local operation. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour. They picked a variety of wineries from larger operations to smaller, family run wineries. Our guide, Simon was very friendly and knowledageble. It was easy to see he was much more then a designated driver as he had extensive... More

We were picked up from our hotel on time. We went to the central Otago Wine region and toured 4 wineries. This region is known for its Pinot Noir. We also tasted Riesling and Chardonnay. We had a delightful lunch at Carrick Winery. We tasted at Mt. Rose, Mt Difficulty, and Peregrine wineries. The staff at each winery was passionate... More

My daughter & I were the only customers on this day tour. Simon was the perfect host as he was knowledgable on the wines, the wineries & the wine region generally. We enjoyed all the wineries we visited (Gibbston Valley, Mt Rosa, Wild Earth, Scott Base & Kinross) & loved the degustation lunch at Wild Earth. We particularly enjoyed Mt... More

We had a fantastuc tour with Liz as our tour guide, could not fault anything about it. Educational as well as a great, really fun experience on each of the vineyards we went to. Very intimate as well, with only four of us on the tour, it felt like we were friends on a trip together.
