If you want MORE activity in Queenstown and don't want to pay for the gondola and skip the queues than take the Tiki Trail - we marked, ice uphill walk through the trees. Really enjoyed the serenity and the view from the top is magnificent....More

This is a lovely walk along well marked trails and fire trails up to the gondola area of Queenstown. It is a moderately strenuous walk with quite steep sections and some rocky scrambles. There are mountain bike trails and zippiness that descend through the area...More

I hiked this trail after overnight rain. Given it is the trial that goes from town to the Gondola area I was very disappointed with the condition the trail was in, it was very slippery and degraded, numerous side trails were in use, and the...More

I've done this track several times mainly because I don't want to pay the gondola fees. Great walk with several carved out tiki chairs along the walk. This is a great trail to get to the Skyline as well as to the start of Ben...More

The walk starts near the gondola. There is an information board near the bottom. The route up is rather steep and the trail has been covered in the remnants of chopped down trees. In places you will need to do a bit of climbing and...More

I used Ben Lomond side to go up to the skyline gondola station and took this path to go down to QT. The trail was slippery, narrow, and steep. So be careful and prepare good trekking shoes. Avoid rainy days or a day after rain....More

This was a highlight of my trip, it’s tough at the start but exceptionally rewarding. It had rained for a good few days beforehand so the track was slippery in parts, however just take your time and enjoy it. There were moments (mainly coming down)...More

Not the most interesting hike, but okay if you don't want spend the money on the gondola. Its just very steep and in the forest. Be mindful if it had just rained as I know a lot of people who fell down.
