Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another beautiful lake. But less touristy than Lak Whakatipu.
There is a beautiful foot path around the lake. For walking, cycling or running.
The Frankton Arm Tavern is nice place for food & drinks

Lake Hayes is a small blue lake near Arrowtown which has a good view around a loopy road. We were driven in a group with AATKings.

It is a small lake near Arrowtown, a lovely lake though. A quiet place not too touristy but family can spend relax time here, they can do swimming, kayaking, dog playing, picnic site under trees shade, do fishing, or simply relax sit. There is a walkway along the lake perimeter as the bonus. All come for free which is really good.

I used to love this loop walk. Its a very calm and peaceful walk around the lake hayes. Heaps of parking spots. I highly recommend doing this if you have more than enough time in Queenstown.

Nice walking track with an excellent view of the lake Hayes. It took 2-3 hours to walk till the top of the hill. Other activites within this area included biking, running, and swinging above the lake:)

I went for the first time on Christmas Day and it was beautiful, not a soul, just me and my friends and two other people. We found a place with a little dock and a swing and we spent the afternoon there. The water was amazing, you couldn stay in for an hour. The only thing that was a little annoying, was the wind, but you could take cover with the trees and plants, so it wasn't a major problem. I had a great time

With Queenstown being so busy. We were able to beak away and enjoy the view. There are toilets at the far side of the lake. Even a swimming pontoon as well.
