If you want to test a wide range of New Zealand wines both red and white this is by far the most convenient and economic method. Once you have obtained your wine card you simply go to the machines select the wine you wish to taste. You can have a tasting measure, a 1/2 glass or a full glass. simply... More

Found this wonderful place when just walking around Queenstown. Ended up spending a very enjoyable 3 1/2 hours there. We got to sample some lovely wines in a relaxing atmosphere, and had the fantastic cheese platter to go with them. Such a great concept idea, and so well executed.

Great concept with automatic machines allowing you to taste over 80 wines at your own pace. Comfortable surroundings. Cheese and meat platters also looked excellent. Space for children to sit and read while we explored the wine offerings. Pay for what you consume at the end.

I read reviews of the Winery and knew it was a spot I wanted to check out on my family's trip to Queenstown over Christmas. The Winery is a shop with loads of New Zealand wines, all in one location. You can try as many wines as you'd like, all being charged to a debit-type card. Mid-to-high range in price.... More

So it was on a grey sky morning in Queenstown that I found myself at The Winery with a huge cheese platter all to myself and a $35 preloaded tasting card. The selection of NZ wines is well balanced, giving you a good taste of the different varietals across the country. The wines range in quality from fairly normal to... More

This is a great concept. You can taste the wines in several different areas throughout the shop simply by inserting a card which totals up the amount that you are actually tasting. For example if you go to the Sauvignon Blanc section, there might be six kinds to try. They're all different prices and when you take the tasting of... More

went to this place twice in our 2 days in QT. cool concept for tasting a very wide variety of wines (even some whiskeys). Overall the tasting samples are a tad too expensive and it's not easy finding a really good wine among the many choices (realizing everyone has different tastes of course). The cheeseboards make for a great snack... More

We had a pre-dinner wine tasting session that ended up as a great way to meet some new people, enjoy some great wines, eat wonderful local produce and have a most enjoyable evening. Pre-dinner then became post dinner as we spent a good few hours enjoying this unique bar come cellar door. Highly recommended, but be careful, a short quick... More
