This was my first rafting activity and I thoroughly enjoyed it. That this was done in winter is immaterial as we were provided with wet suits and other gear to keep us warm. The guides gave detailed safety instructions to ensure we were prepared sufficiently....More

We booked rafting in Queenstown on a recent holiday in NZ. It was $460 for a 'half day' of rafting with plenty of 'white water action'. We showed up at the meeting point which offered free sweets in a jar, which I failed to realise...More

We went during Autumn which meant for very little water in the river. Unfortunately we didn't realise that this meant very low water level and very little excitement down the rapids. Everything about this tour was great, the staff, the scenery, the concept etc but...More

An interesting trip in the bus from Shotover Admin Centre along a very windy gravel road to the river. Excellent, excellent 2-3 hours of fun and enjoyment. Our guide, Adam was great in giving us the confidence to get through this experience. Was a little...More

Great time, however, cameras are not allowed. This requires spending more money to purchase photos. I understand the safety issue but they should include a minimum of photos as part of the activity. In addition, we took the helicopter ride and were unable to photo...More

I was traveling with rafting novices so we booked the Kawarau. Our trip did not make and we had the option of switching to the Shotover. We were so glad that we switched. The Shotover wasn't that scary for the novices and... More
I have an issue with my neck right now and although very healthy and active paddling hard would not be a good idea. My husband and I really want to do the river rafting trip. Would the tamer river Kawarau be a good option? We will be there in mid March. Thank you, Carol
