What more could we ask for? Great vistas as we chugged up Wakapitu to Walter Peak for a delicious BBG lunch which followed our sheep shearing and herding demos. Jenny, Vince and Ave were wonderful when someone (me) was so disappointed to have been relegated...More

Unless you take a cruise in the lake you have not done anything at all in Queenstown. Take the Walter peak heritage excursion by TSS Earnslaw Steam Ship and get the pulse of New Zealand. Along with the BBQ Lunch it might sound expensive but...More

The scenery and location of the Walter Peak Farm Tour is absolutely stunning. The sheep herding demonstration was very good, although the working dogs and six sheep were contained within large a field pen compared to our past visits here. The staff was friendly and...More

Loved this original steamboat. Like stepping back in time..the smell of coal, the mini museum..the views.. it was all lovely...Walter peak sheep shearing demo was informative and bbq lunch was the best. This is one of the highlights of our trip to queenstown...highly recommend it.

This is a ride on an old steamboat (1912) for about an hour to a wonderful sheep farm where you are shown how they herd sheep, how they shear sheep, etc, then taken into a beautifull building for a fabulous bbq buffet lunch.

Great morning tea and pastries. The gardens were absolutely beautiful! It was interesting watching the sheep being sheared and herded. The steam boat ride was wonderful with absolutely breath taking views! Great for all ages

Went over to the farm on the TSS Earnslaw that in itself was a delightful experience well worth doing in it's own right. Walter Peak Farm was a pleasant afternoon for the kids but for us grown ups the buffet was first class plenty of...More
