This walk was really pretty. The path is well maintained but can get quite steep and slippery on the way down on the gravel if you don't have good shoes just be careful. If you go at a slow pace it is an easy walk, yet moderate fitness is required as it is steep in parts especially up to the... More

A hike up Queenstown hill is a must for any trip to Queenstown. Follow the signs through the neighborhood and its a short (but steep) climb to the top of hill that provides 360 views. The path is well maintained and there are a few spots for a picnic if you bring some food or drink. It took us about... More

Not a tough walk , easy gradients , good quality paths , the first part is in a beautiful pine forest . The views from the top are fabulous of Queenstown and the Remarkables . Give it a go you will not be disappointed .

The Queenstown Hill offers a spectacular view for people. I brought my friend who have never climb in her life to do her first ever virgin climb. She is in her 40s and still the climb is great for her. As activities are expensive here, this is definitely something that we can do as it is absolutely free. It took... More

A lot of things to do in Queenstown are expensive, so it's great that one of the best things is free. You can either walk the loop track which has great views towards the town, or carry on to the summit which has some great 360 degree views. Unfortunately the day I went up was cloudy, but the view was... More

We waited for good weather to do this walk. Just at the back of Queenstown, it is a beautiful walk through forest & on the higher plains. We are a reasonably fit couple in our early 50's & we found the walk strenuous but not uncomfortably so. The views from the top are wonderful,we saw the weather coming down one... More

I and my wife walked to the top of Queenstown Hill before noon. It was raining. We had Subway sandwiches with us as the lunch. But we found no shelter on the hill. So we took sandwiches back to town. Even though the rain made us feel a little miserable, we enjoyed walking there. Afternoon the rain stopped and it... More

Great views and beautiful walk through the forest. The walk is pretty hard work, harder than we thought it was going to be.
