Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a nice golf course. I recommend to take a few extra balls than normal if you haven’t played here before because it is very easy to lose them. The course was in very nice condition and has some great scenery so worth taking a camera. It is hilly so take the option of using a cart.

Being a golfer, would like to testify different courses over the world. This time, when I arrived Queenstown, I noticed that course was situated on a peninsula oversee by the Queenstown. The course was challenging and properly maintained. Green tiny with treelines obstructing on some bad lines. Greenlee was reasonable, 100 NZ for visitors with 50% off for the second round within a week. Views were stunning as surrounded by the mountains. Gorgeous view in Autumn fall or Winter. Love this course and if chances arises, come back again.

I was in Queenstown in a campervan so I could drive from the campground to the golf course while my family could walk into town during my absence. The course is on a peninsula in the lake so views are stunning from every angle. The course itself is fun to play. I rented my clubs and they were very good. I also visited the Pro Shop as I wanted a souvenir from this golf course and they have very nice things.

A fun, little golf course somewhat overshadowed by nearby Jacks Point. Some of the holes near / overlooking the lake are very picturesque and lots of fun. I must compliment the staff in the shop who checked me in for my game and then organised a cab for me after the game. Be aware that the course is located out on the Kelvin Heights peninsula meaning it's a fair drive from Queenstown waterfront.

Nice course up hills and down dales. The pro shop is great; very friendly and helpful staff. I played by myself for 12 holes before I caught up to and paired up with two fellow tourists. Fun time in Queenstown

I called to book a time and was offered to join in the local tournament on the Sunday morning. I was welcomed by the course members who were very friendly and accommodating. I was made to feel especially welcome by Bill and Tilly Grant (long time club members ) and the lovely Heather. I played agin on the Tuesday and met Holmes and Owen. Great banter and great club. Totally recommend playing and supporting this club. The course itself is quite long and challenging and very well kept with some of the best scenery on any golf course in the world. Thanks everyone at Queenstown golf course.

Queenstown Golf Club did not disappoint. Right on arrival you feel welcomed from checking in with the Proshop, which is well stocked with all kinds of merch and more, Mike was very helpful and friendly.
Course was both fun and challenging accompanied by breathtaking views with snow caps at every turn. The greens were very quick like at any quality course. Walked 9 holes but will definitely book in 18 with a cart with my next visit in the summer.
Excellent experience for any skill level.

Consider this a good country course, however not worth $117 we paid. It was made worse when we caught the end of a vets comp after 2 holes... ... Pretty slow needless to say and it would've been nice to be informed of this before we decided to play the course. Given we played Jacks Point for $135 there was no comparison...

Hi pgmortgages, thank you for coming to play our course. I'm sorry to hear you were stuck behind the group of local elderly members (9 people - 3 groups). They did manage to play in just over 4 hours. Generally if you want to play a fast round we recommend playing early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the course is quieter, rather than at the peak of the day.
We do not try and compete with Jack's Point, they are on a reduced rate at the moment due to their scarified greens, when they go back to full price it will be $225 per person and we will still be $117.

Came for a coffee after long business trip, were told by the service person there was no coffee available so we left. When leaving we overheard one of the staff say because we didn't want alcohol and only coffee it was our problem. Why would we want to join your golf club with such poor service delivery? PA to wealthy property developer who was present, not good advertising for your business.

Sorry to hear you were not happy with the service you received.
Generally we close down the coffee machine for cleaning in the mid-late afternoon depending on how busy we are. The bar will often remain open longer than the cafe / coffee machine to cater for the golfers still out on the golf course. Our cafe staff should have explained this better at the time.
I am happy to offer you a free coffee for you and a friend if you would like to come back and give us another chance.

In my opinion this is a little gem. I played Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs as well as Jacks Point on my holidays to NZ and must say this course held its own. The views are great and the course offers a challenge for all golfers. The best thing is the price as it is considerably cheaper than the courses I mentioned before. If you are in Queenstown and you like golf give this great course a try. You wont be disappointed.

Hi, Sorry, we only stopped in for coffee, we are not golfers. However, my understanding is (from others) that this course is reasonably priced and you can pay for casual game on the day. There is another course not far away at Jacks Point which is more expensive. We were impressed with the friendly staff and the great view of Queenstown, from the club house. Hope this helps.
