Was a nice walk, not too hard or long so can fit in other things during the day. Decent view at the top but not mindblowing. Well signposted and track in great condition.

We hiked the loop and thoroughly enjoyed it. Most of the time we felt like we were the only ones on the track; I think we ran into only 2 or 3 other groups of people the entire time. Seeing the well preserved Sam Summers...More

A good, moderate uphill loop track which takes you up into the mountain with glimpses of an alpine lake. Beautiful calming forest and streams all along the walk - so bring your camera. Very well maintained track.

This walking track has beautiful bush, views of a creek & waterfalls, overlooks of Moke Lake and Lake Wakatipu, some remains of the gold rush, and just enough climbing to give you a workout. And practically speaking, there is plenty of off-road parking.

We hiked this loop track. We really liked it, it was quiet, fairly easy (some steep paths) and nice with the Sam Summer Hut history. If you are a good walker, you can do it in less than 2 hrs.

This wonderful walk has everything! Stunning views, majestic waterfalls, birdsong and the crystal clear waters of the river. Make sure you turn off and check out the Miners tunnel. This track is my Happy Place!
