Good detour while visiting Arrowtown

Went for a short walk down the stream while spending the day in Arrowtown, water is very cold, but nice to see different landscape.

My family and I went to Arrowtown for the day to explore the past and it was not a letdown. We were there in winter, and the water was freezing. Nice day out to wander around and learn a little bit of history.

From Arrowtown carpark there is a good walk along the riverside. This will take about one hour and is very pleasant. The path is also popular with cyclists.

Arrow River is home to remnants of a Chinese mining settlement, as well as the historic town of Arrowtown. It's a great little side journey, a short drive from Queenstown. There's plenty to do and it's a great place to keep kids busy. There's a skate park, museum and other things quite close by, as well as walking trails from... More

I wish we had worn our walking shoes when we visited Arrowtown. They have beautiful riverside tracks to enjoy. Easy walking. Great track for biking as well.

Combine a great riverside hike and visit a historic Chinese Mining village. Shop and eat a some great looking mainstreet shoppes. A good option for a half day excursion.

This is free, yes folks free! Great walks along the rive, swings over the river for the kids. New Zealand as it should be kids playing in the river, building dams and floating down. A great place to be as a family.

My family of five got picked from our place and headed out mid morning and it was one of our favourite places to visit on bike. The trail was amazing and the views were stunning, my youngest found it tiring however by the end of the 15km ride she loved it and couldn't wait to hit the track the next... More
