Truly a one of a kind adventure that will appeal especially to those who will appreciate the history behind a 1912 coal fired lake steamer. The engine room is open to see the machinery at work. The saloon serves beer, wine, and other refreshments. And...More

Used this ship to access a fun night including dinner at the farm across the lake but because it was already nightfall we did not get to appreciate the splendid scenery along the way. So I would definitely recommend doing this trip during a bright...More

A very pleasurable experience. We just did the cruise in the morning and didn't get off at Walter Peak Farm. 90% of the people got off at Walter Peak Farm so virtually had ship to ourselves on the way back. Would definitely recommend.

The steamboat ride on Lake Wakatipu took us to Walter Peak Farm. The scenery was wonderful and the staff were friendly. Watching them put coal into the fire to keep the boat moving was interesting.

Although the voyage was nice, it was rather expensive for what it was. Lovely old ship, built the same year as the RMS Titanic. Pity that the day that we went it poured with rain so visibility was down somewhat. Difficult to hear the commentary...More

Wayyyy too many people ticketed. Most of which were pushy and rude. The staff were friendly and very smiley. The sheering demonstration was very informative and the speaker did a good job despite having to tell the crowd to pipe down six times. Further observation...More

One of my activities was canceled due to weather changes, so I scanned Viator and TripAdvisor to see what was available to book last-minute in Queenstown. I have an interest in ships and naval history, and I figured that a tour of sheep farm couldn’t...More

I believe you could do this. They keep the bikes in the lower deck. Contact them direct for details. We paid approx $NZ70 return trip only. One way would be less. Good luck. Sounds exciting 🐑🐑🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️
