No thanks, Queenstown is a great place to visit. So much to see and do whatever you enjoy and everyone’s so friendly. Time Traveler was our only negative, such a shame that your team member was rude and unwelcoming. So sorry we interrupted your day.

It was a great way to get the history of Queenstown and would entertain kids. It's pretty short show. Staff super nice. Hard to find but shares a booth with boating activities so look hard for sign.

Hi, Thank you for visiting us and leaving a review, we appreciate the feedback. It is hard to find Queenstown's best kept secret when we are hidden under Lake Wakatipu ; ) We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Queenstown. Many thanks, The Time Tripper Team

Excellent experience, right on the Queenstown quay. Terrific wrap-round film (complete with physical enhancement) before the reveal of the underwater observatory. The fish! And the cutest ever deep diving ducks! Amazing value for money.

I’m so pleased we did this,

First there was a great audio- visual presentation showing the pre- historic and geological history of the Queenstown area. Shown on 3 screens and with some moderate vibrations it brought the history alive.

Then we spent about 15 minutes viewing the fish, eels and diving ducks from below the water. Fascinating! We were surprised at the size of the eels and the salmon and the speed of the diving ducks.

This short activity added a different perspective to our visit to Queenstown.

Great little history information film. Was nice to go underwater and see the fish ducks and eels that live in the lake. Our daughter (1) loved it.

Kind of lame. The graphics weren’t the best. Could have spent more time on the area’s history. Last few minutes are advertisements. When they feed the fish the curtain isn’t up yet so you miss most of the fish. Children might enjoy. Affordable too for families.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the show. Time Tripper is a 30-minute experience, made up of a 14-minute animated movie and 16 minutes’ worth of fish viewing after. The graphics were designed and created by an award-winning company. They have been involved in the development of graphics and animation technologies for sports broadcasts. This has gained recognition for its contributions to the visual presentation of sports events, including sailing and golf and specializes in computer-generated imagery and computer animation. The fish feeder is programmed to automatically release the fish food as the screens are coming up to ensure there are plenty of fish, eels and diving ducks around for everyone to see and enjoy. The last minute of the show is a collection of clips showing our guests all the adventure activities that Queenstown has to offer. I will certainly pass your feedback on to the marketing team. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Queenstown. Many thanks The Time Tripper Team

We had a bit of time to kill in the afternoon so booked this adventure, you head underwater into the lake and watch a 15min movie which is very well done and marries Māori legend and science very well.
You then get another 15mins to see fish, eels and ducks from below the water.

It is reasonably priced for what it is

This is more interesting than I expected. It's 30 minutes total, comprising a very interesting and well-done 15 minute video followed by 15 minutes to look through their underwater windows into the lake. We saw trout, eels, and several diving ducks. It sounds too short but 15 minutes is really all you need. The cost (as of Oct 2023) is NZ$15, which is US$9 - so it's not expensive.
