The "Creative Queenstown Arts and Crafts Markets" are set in a vibrant colourful arena, where visual and performing arts meld together for the public and visitors to enjoy. We embrace the talents of many artists and crafts persons from around the South Island, some coming from as far as Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and the West Coast to display and sell their own quality handmade Art and Craft.

We pride ourselves in contributing to Queenstown's wonderfully relaxed weekends and being able to provide free local musical entertainment for your enjoyment.

This was a nice smallish market with real handmade stuff. The stallholders were friendly and the prices seemed very reasonable. Great thing to do on a Saturday in Queenstown.

I happened upon this market my last full day in Queenstown, I believe it happens every Saturday from about 9 AM to I think 2 or 3 PM but not sure, also not sure if it is all year or just certain seasons. What I am sure of is that there is some wonderful reasonably priced handmade stuff. I wish... More

Hi Renae, Thanks for your great review. We hope to get the word spread that the market takes place every Saturday from about 9am until 3:30pm in the winter and 4:30 in the summer. Yes, it is true that each stall holder makes everything that they sell. Nothing is imported or made by someone else. True made in NZ souvenirs!... More

All locally made and at reasonable prices considering it is a bit of a tourist trap in Queenstown. Right there on the waterfront with a spectacular backdrop of the lake and the Remarkables. It will take as long as you want to wander around but 15 mins is heaps before shooting off for a beer or bite to eat.

Heaps of crafty knick-nacks, art, jewellery, shiatsu massage, a band - a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

It's not a very big market but big enough for a fruitful saunter. There was a live band playing folksy stuff while we there. Not the kind of music we like but entertaining nonetheless, especially for those lounging on the grass, I'm sure. We loved the craft pieces and bought a few creatively made ones. Do check out the stalls... More

Nice to have a little browse through, but you'll experience a strong sense of deja vú from stall to stall as there were the same three or four things on offer. Very touristy - you'd find similar things in the main street.

There are a wide range of different stalls like different types of jewellery, clothing, art, painting, photography, woodcrafts and other gifts.
