Milford Sound must be one of the great scenic locations of the world. The drive in and out, which can take up to two hours in peak periods was an experience in itself with breath taking scenery and moments of wonderment (how did they dig...More

Quite the drive to get here from Queenstown, and the drive is pretty awesome itself! The line this time at the tunnel was not as long as I remember from back in 2007. The cruise is about 1-2 hours I recall. That seems long but...More

Amazing place - both the road trip in and out, plus the boat trip on the Sound. The road would be quite treacherous in poor weather, but we had a beautiful day.

If you get the opportunity for a cruise on Milford Sound, take it. It's not cheap, whoever you go with, but it's a magical place. Getting under waterfalls on the bow of a ship is a lifelong memory.

Half of the wonder is the drive up. Stay in Te Anau so you can afford yourself a whole day and hike around the trails. Bring warm clothes and food for lunch as there aren’t any options other than the food on the boats. Leave...More

This is a stunning, incredible part of the world that is an absolute must see. Beware of the sandflies, you’ll have bites that’ll last for weeks. Wear repellent, trust me.

It was a long ride to Milford Sound but we are being entertained with commentary from our experience driver. We have a few photo stops and of course a toilet break. The cruise boat is nice and comfortable.

Took almost 5 hours to get here from Queenstown but it's totally worth the journey. The long journey itself was full with amazing scenery and the final destination which is the Milford Sound was the best of all. Couldn't describe the amazing view. It was...More

This is a must-see-with-your-own-eyes place. Everywhere you look there are amazing views that will amaze you. It had been snowing the night before, creating stunning waterfalls everywhere you looked. Clouds were hanging low over the mountains, it was the most amazing place I've ever been!...More
