I walked this solo late August 2018. Stunning scenery which was wonderfully varied. Track made for easy walking. Huts & facilities excellent. I lucked a great weather window, although was icy up around Ghost Lake Hut and descending from there.

The track is very clear and obvious, you would have to be in a very serious daydream for anything to happen! Any risk of falling over I would think would be very minimal.
