Excellent service , friendly & knowledgeable. Staff member John was extremely helpful & obviously passionate about his job, promoting Goulburn! The Center has a large screen TV where John showed us aerial video over the city & historically significant sites, as well as historical photographs with Johns wealth of local knowledge & historical stories. It was great, thank you so much.

While traveling to Victoria in March 2024, I stopped in Goulburn and visited the local Visitor Information Centre. There, I met Jon, who shared his knowledge of the area and showed me a captivating video of Goulburn and its surroundings. This encouraged me to explore the city on foot and visit notable attractions like the Goldburn Historic Waterworks and Rocky Hill Lookout. When I passed through Goulburn again on my way to the Blue Mountains, Jon was helpful once more, providing information and assisting with our water tank refill. I will spend the night at the Visitor Information Centre in my self-contained motorhome and continue exploring Goulburn tomorrow before continuing my journey. My gratitude to Goulburn for their hospitality.

Helpful, knowledgeable friendly staff backed up with maps and brochures. So much more to Goulburn than we imagined. Planning return visits to explore the region. Took home some locally made soap and pure honey - on sale at the Information Centre.

We turned up right at 1.30pm to have the door shut in our face and told "Sorry, back at 2pm." All we wanted was a "Things to do in Goulburn" type booklet and would have been on our way. But we weren't asked.
We just Googled it instead.

I popped into Goulburn Visitor Information Centre today to grab a couple of maps and was treated to a fantastic interaction with Jon. He is a wealth of local knowledge and passion for the area, and talked me through an incredible drone aerial video of Goulburn and surrounds which really helped to orient me before I went driving around. Jon's friendly assistance absolutely made my day and really set the tone for my exploration for the next couple of hours. He is a wonderful resource at the Information Centre and I can't recommend him more highly. Pop in and have a chat with him. Thank you Jon!

Drive here from Yass (an hour or so away) for the quality and large range of gifts, plus maps and information. From wooden bowls to woollen sox to jewellery to gourmet food treats to children's gifts to quirky postcards - virtually everything made in Australia, Jason and Margaret were very helpful and charming staff members. Definitely Covid-safe with plenty of space and sanitisers available. Thank you!

Learnt alot about the town. Jon helped alot and the souvenirs were awesome. We enjoyed the visit and will definitely recommend it to everyone. We will come back many more times. Please come here for information and history of Goulburn.

I was so glad we stopped in at Goulburn visitor information Centre and met Jon.
He was so helpful and knowledgeable.

Dropped in to get an update on road conditions for the next leg of our trip. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were friendly and armed with all the information we needed. The Visitor Information network in NSW really is your first stop when you arrive into any town. Thanks!!

I went to the information centre to get information about Goulburn and its surroundings. The staff wasn’t very friendly and I didn’t feel welcome. He did give me the information I needed though. Maybe he wasn’t having a good day...

Try Murrays on Google. Also try Greyhound on Google. Alternatively try NSW trains, they are cheaper and most probably faster. Try Cityrail online. All the best.

I am taking the Greyhound bus from Sydney to Goulburn but am finding for my return trip on Dec 29th there are only two buses one at 5 a.m. and the other not until 7 p.m. I did try looking at trains that connect from Goulburn to Sydney (SOUTHERN XPLORER TRAIN ) - but the price was so much more then the bus and the time of the departing train wasn't much better especially for the price differenct.
Is there other means of transportation from Goulburn that I can explore?

Hi Heidi043,
Cityrail offer services from Goulburn to Sydney on the 29th at 5.54am, 2.20pm (with the train replaced by a bus here) and 9.02pm. Getting the train from Goulburn to Central shouldn't cost you any more than $15.
