Great variety of foods, all very very fresh, unfortunately it is extremely crowded and you do have to get there extremely early, and parking a bit of a problem

I love the farmers market and buy my fruit and veg here every week! The stall holders are friendly and often very generous, especially once you get to know them. You have the opportunity to try before you buy in most cases. All the produce is fresh, I've never had a bad experience. My daughter is 13, and we make... More

Well set out Farmers market with a good variety of fresh food outlets and best of all, not overrun with dodgy alternative product stalls. Quality offerings in the enclosed shed add something extra. Plenty of parking @ $2 per car

When it comes to deciding whether a market is good, I look at how close it allows me to get to actual producers. In this regard, Newcastle City Farmers Market was one of the best markets I've visited, with very clear labeling of stalls that identified the ones that were run by genuine growers. I'm also keen when I'm in... More

Haven't been to the markets for quite a while and was really disappointed. Not too much there and only a the quality stall. I think generally better produce and cheaper prices at the supermarkets. Ok if you want same same breakfast from the food stalls/trucks.

Newcastle City Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning at the Newcastle Showgrounds - located off Donald Street, Broadmeadow. It is one of the best in the area. There is a large car park & costs $2.00 for the day. The stalls are mainly farmers from surrounding districts selling directly to the public. there is also a verity of interesting... More

It is unfortunate that we live an hour away to these awesome markets - however we do make the trip often simply because of the food. So many food stalls to choose from - plenty of seating and always a Jazz band playing to set the mood. The choice of fresh fruits and vegetables is abundant and the range of... More

Called in after church to check out what was on offer. Excellent selection of fresh produce, artisan food stalls and organic supplies. Wonderful way to support local suppliers and to encourage small industry. Enjoyed the dirty chai, nice flavour with reasonable price. As we were there later in the day, many of the food stalls were sold out of their... More
