Provided you are fit enough to walk a couple of km you can find lots of birds to photograph at almost any time of the year. Spring obviously offers more breeding activity. Don't forget the insect repellant in summer.

We visited the wetlands centre as a school holiday activity. It is great to be out in nature and the kids had a wonderful time. You can even get a net and catch tadpoles if that takes your fancy.

We attended a birthday party and the setting in the wetlands was excellent. The food and service was well done and the manager was professional and look after the event very well. We went for a walk and really enjoyed the birdlife.
