Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always a gorgeous walk but especially grand on a sunny day. Caught a ferry later the same day to view it, and the lovely city of Newcastle, from the shipwreck walk (Stockton). The Nobby's walk is flat - making it easily navigable by wheelchair, bike, scooter, pram or foot.

There are some great walks to be enjoyed along the Newcastle foreshore, and one of these is from HoneySuckle to Nobbys Head & Beach. Total walk time about 45-60 minutes in each direction. Plenty of action on the waterway with tug boats & coal ships arriving/leaving & if you're lucky you'll see seals & maybe a whale.

I have only been living in Newcastle a short time and today finally went to Nobby’s Head and break wall. They have recently redone the walking path which is great with viewing areas along the way. It gave me a different perspective of Newcastle port which was lovely. Definitely a must do walk if you are in the area.
The lighthouse, sadly is only open on the weekend.

Nobby's Beach so accessible. Easy to get to and very family friendly. The beach is great for kids. There are plenty of spaces to sit with benches or on the sand or grass. Cafe to get a coffee. Just enjoyed sitting on a bench and looking out at the views.

We stroll along this breakwater all the way to end & light house, which you could not go up to, but view @ end of walk, beyond light house was very nice.

Park at Nobbys beach and walk the breakwall for a lovely 3km walk, and if you are lucky you might see Dophins.

Despite, or maybe because of the weather the walk up to Nobbys Head was spectacular. The views are amazing all along the walk and the added bonus of the tugs guiding in a huge ship just made it

This is one of my favourite short walks in Newcastle. The history of the lighthouse, Fort Scratchley and the breakwater is interesting and on a nice day the view is fantastic. Open views to the ocean and especially good when a large ship is coming in or out of the harbour. You will need to park at Nobbys beach car park and walk from there but its an easy walk.
