We took a cruise at sunset and really enjoyed it. The Chinese Junk chugged along and our skipper was laid back and easy going. It was lovely cruising on the Hastings River and seeing the rich peoples houses on the water.

You may still get to see a few whales, I would speak to the whale watching company. If not they offer dolphin cruises and you are nearly guaranteed to see them.
