Our family favourite

One of our favourite Gold Coast beaches. Great surfing, easy parking, good amenities! Great place to watch the sun go down and have a BBQ. So perfect day and evening venue.

A bit remote white sandy beach at the end corner of Coolangatta, plenty of rock outcrop, a place where visitors can avoid crowded places like the beaches at the main Goldcoast area. Great place for surfing, swimming or just relax and sitting watching the waves and see the high rise buildings at Goldcoast main centre as the horizon background.

One of the best beaches on the coast! Has the best little cove facing North East. Best time to visit is during high tide. Has plenty of rockpools around for non-confident swimmers (like myself) and a small rockpool. Short walk up to Point Danger lookout. Definitely worth going. Unfortunately parking is scarce so go super early.

Snapper Rocks/ Rainbow Bay would have to be the penultimate beach in Australia. Snapper offers the best surfing conditions while Rainbow bay offers a very safe place to swim for all ages and more importantly is well patrolled by surf lifesavers. Is close to lots of great eateries and surf clubs. A must visit when on the south end of... More

Snapper rocks is quite a small beach but in any one day there can be quite powerful surf happening there. Even if you dont swim you will enjoy the power of the waves breaking on the rocks

Of all the beaches in the Gold Coast I would have to say snapper is where it's at!!! If you want to surf swim or just relax you definitely can't go past this piece of paradise. The walk from snapper to Kirra would have to be the most picturesque in the world. If you get the chance don't miss it

This is top spot for surfing. Rainbow beach next to it is a good for families. Rainbow bay surf club is a great spot to have a cold drink and watch the sunset. There are some car parking spots but not many.
