We went for a walk this morning, Sunday, along the beach front and sat on the beach for a while. The atmosphere was relaxing and with a coffee shop and the surf club selling bacon and egg rolls everything was catered.

Kirra beach is an awesome spot for the family to swim. It is well protected by Kirra Groin sling with the life guards. It is a short stroll across the sand to the water’s edge. Amenities are close by along with a coffee shop and...More

The water is always beautiful clean. Never too crowded. Great for a family trip. Lifesavers available nearby.

Kirra isn’t the powerful wave of the 70’s and 80’s but it is now an enjoyable cruisy wave suitable for most boards and sups. When the bank line up the waves can be 200 metres

Kirra is truly lovely white sand incrowded beach. Surf patrols and clean sand make this paradise. Green water and good waves for swimming

Quick walk to the beach from Kirra tourist park, not a dog friendly beach. Lovely location was very windy the day we visited but we watched the sky divers land on the beach which was lovely.

Kirra Beach is great for family's its a little quiet than some of the other tourist areas. We have stayed here a few times and like it a lot. Close to the Airport with plenty of Uber, Taxis & Buses to get you around. Plenty...More

We brought our body boards and were ready to catch some waves when we spotted blue bottles at the beach. This was about 3.30pm. So disappointing ☹️

Personally I don't like to stay in Surfers Paradise as much, it's way too over-crowded and touristy and like Andrew said, the beach is just average anyway. Kirra is much nicer. Also, just to throw it in there, I find... More

If you are not heading to Kirra anytime soon, try and find the surf cam for the area or google street view on your search engine. This might give you an idea of what's on offer in the area. From memory, the Kirra lookout... More
