We took our 4 kids here and they enjoyed it. We stayed in the park for roughly an hour. It is a natural phenomenon that has been accentuated by beautiful landscaping. Make the time to just go down there, sit, relax & enjoy the tranquility

Beautiful sinkhole to visit. Sadly, at this time, most of the flowers were in the final stages, but it's a lovely, serene place to visit during the day. If visiting after dark, take a torch and some fruit to feed the possums. It's dark at...More

Very nice park but if you do not like bees you may not like it. Fascinating sink hole with a lovely garden

Like the Blue Lake this is a must see when visiting the Mount. A reminder of what type of natural wonders this area of the south east has been developed in and around.

I had seen this sinkhole as a little girl and was greatly looking forward to seeing it again. I was not disappointed. It is quite beautiful and unique - a magical place. The gardens are lovley and the cliff face dramatic. The trailing plants circling...More

Mount Gambier is a great little pace with lots of things to see. This sinkhole is absolutely amazing, free and well worth the quick stopover. Don’t miss it

It was amazing, the enormity. We missed seeing it light up at night which would have been great, but even during the day was great too. Well worth seeing and walking around.

Visiting here with three kids and a service dog, we really enjoyed the features of the sinkhole, the fragrant gardens, and the wild bee hives built into the walls of the cave. You can't go to Mount Gambier without visiting Umpherston Sinkhole!

I was amazed when seeing the sinkhole, how deep it is, walking down the steps to see how far it goes, very pretty but think it needs a bit of tender loving care. There is a beautiful rose garden before descending, also markets were on....More

You can go anytime as you just walk through a park to get there. At least I don't remember it being gated or fenced at all!

It is a long diversion from the GOR just for the sink hole. There is much more than it in Mt Gambier. Consider overnighting in Mt Gambier for other attractions too.
