The tour was great and informative but the man was a little abrupt and unpleasant. Also no electronic cash machine was very disappointing.

This tour was recommended by the helpful staff at the Lady Nelson information centre. We were the only people on the 45 minute tour which cost $10 each (cash) well worth it. Gary is very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Down a glass...More

A great family visit to discover how the water is pumped for the town's water supply and to get up close to the most beautiful Blue Lake. We loved seeing the pump spray, walking through the tunnel and the slightly scary lift. Lots of information...More

Tour was really interesting and informative. Would recommend to anyone interested in that kind of thing. Probably not for everyone. You need to make that decision based on what you are personally interested in.

The history and background of the Blue Lake, its role as water source for Mount Gambier, how that role developed, and the pumping station's current woes after South Australia's massive power failure, weave a compelling story. Ivan, our guide, told it clearly and kept us...More

My husband and I were the only ones taking this particular tour but they still took us, the tour guide was very interesting, and funny, he answered all our questions, and didn't mind that we were a bit slow
