The viewing pontoon at the dive site gives a reasonable overview of the ponds. The walk further on was closed before reaching the ponds proper which was disappointing.

Easy to organise a permit over the internet, and also easy to book a time (don't just turn up and jump in the water). It's a beautiful spot.
