Stopped for beer and pies. Asked to wait 15 minutes for the trio of pies which eventually arrived 50 minutes later. Would have thought they would have been better prepared for lunchtime orders when the pies were frozen.

Perfect choice today. Inside and outside seating, clean and fresh. I chose the pie taster... Three little pies with a Boags Beer of choice. Pies were scrumptious; chicken and camembert, pepper steak and a chunky beef one. Perfect for a small lunch at a very competitive price. I'll time it better next time so I can do the Boags Brewery... This is a good places to visit if you are after a different type of beer that you can't get eg Melbourne but not sure if you can take it back overseas seeing the would be very heavy in a bag or suit case

This was good value for money. The tour guide was really enthusiastic and entertaining. An interesting brewery with a lot of history. Beers at the end finish it off nicely!

I really enjoyed this Tour of the Brewery and the tasting afterwards. I don't drink a lot of beer but occasionally will have one when out dining. We had a great tour guide who was informative / humorous and had interesting stories to tell. A lot of the brewery is run by machine robots but it is still interesting to... More

We dropped in for a quick look, had the $10 sampler paddle of three beers. The initial introduction by the staff was interesting and the 3 beers hit the spot. Afterwards, we went upstairs into the museum which again was great.dont miss out on watching a range of TV adds , best entertainment we have had for years

We just had to do a tour at Boags as it's in the center of Launceston. You start in a small pub opposite the brewery, the tour takes you across the road, where the guide explains the history of the brewery and what was around when the brewery first opened. It's not the biggest brewery but it is still good... More

We didn't do a tour but decided instead to try the 3 beer tasting paddle for $10. The bar is small, warm & cosy with a lounge and small eating area where meals are served. The bar staff were friendly and informative & the beer good! Gifts are available.

My wife and I recently attended the Beer and Cheese tour at James Boags Brewery in Launceston and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for something to do in Launceston. And before you screw your nose up at the thought of beer and cheese together - try it and be pleasantly surprised just how well they complement... More
