Called in to find out about the introduction of Trams in Launceston. There is a very good display highlighting the 29 trams that serviced Launceston. They also have tram rides on an original tram that serviced the town. Takes about an hour to view the...More

Hidden gem. Fascinating to read the story of the life after on each tram. Enthusiastic volunteer with great knowledge and passion. Well displayed. Step back in history. Highly recommended.

The museum was a short walk from town. After a ride I explored the musuem with some guidance from a helpful lady at the pay-desk. Lots of photos of 'old' Launceston. Several trams in various states of restoation are on view.

Had a great morning visiting the Tramway Museum. Spoke in depth with the volunteers on duty who gave us informative tours of the workshop as well as the displays. The tram ride was interesting.

Credit must be given to the volunteers who look after this museum. It is so interesting, well maintained and the tram ride was delightful.
