This is an extensive representation of Australia's gold rush period. Authentic buildings, tools, mines all help to re-live those hectic days. Plenty to see and do. To best appreciate all that is included please set aside the most of one day.

We had a great day at Sovereign Hill, we wondered around taking in the shows, and the live street theatre. We all had a go of gold panning and even managed to find a few flecks of gold. The self guided mine was fun, though...More

Thoroughly enjoyable and worth the money. Lots of staff in period costume engaging with visitors. Very professional and appealing presenters for the talks (we saw candies making, lolly making and gold pouring). The self guided mine tour was good. Cute animals.

Lots to look at and do. The food was a little dear but that is probably expected from attractions. Interesting watching them spin the brass and copper to make the candlestick holders etc.
