This as you might expect has a great deal of history and a walk around is quite intersting if you like cemeteries. It is large and has the usual range of elaborate and not so elaborate headstones.

Ballarat Old General Cemetry reflects some of the major landmarks and key figures of Ballarat's European and Chinese history. There are two memorials relating to the Eureka Stockade, one for the diggers and one for the soldiers.
