The Bendigo Joss Temple is an introduction to the culture of the Chinese people who settled at Bending with the dreams of finding gold. Fascinating introduction into the mysticism of a different culture.

We spent about an hour in this temple - each room was full of history and interesting stories. The staff were awesome and so passionate about the place it rubbed off on us! A great view into the Chinese history in Bendigo

This was of great interest to me, my 3Great Grand-father having been employed by the Protector of Chinese at both the Bendigo and Ballarrat Goldfields. Although a practising Christian I could see and appreciate the importance of this temple to the Chinese. Well worth seeing.
