Overview
More
The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, being built near Bendigo Australia, is 50 metres square at its base and nearly 50 metres high. This makes it the biggest stupa in the Western World. We are also home to the worlds largest Jade Buddha statue - weighing in at four tonnes. On your visit you can enjoy visual delights of arts and Asian culture, learn more about the Buddhist faith as well as meditation and wellbeing, and experience the grand architecture with a guided tour.

Took the family to see the Stupa and we got the video and then a map with the important parts marked on it. The Stupa is still under construction, but there was a lady to show us around and answer our questions. The jade Buddha...More

Tucked away in the bush close to Bedigo and still under construction. A magnificent building and very worthy a wander around in the tranquil setting and atmosphere it generates.

We spent about 2 hours here and could see the work in progress. Definitely worth a return visit when the build has progressed.

This will be an amazing and imposing place of worship once completed. Its a long way from being finished however.

Although not finished being built you can still get a feel for the surrounds. The large jade Buddha was absolutely beautiful and the gardens to wander around just so peaceful.

This remarkable building out in the bush is a work in progress. Even so it was well worth visiting especially given the warm, friendly greeting by both robed devotees and 'civilian' members of the community. Peaceful gardens and areas for children are additional benefits. Glad...More

Don't think you can. Taxi is an (expensive) option. Might be worth giving them a call, see if they can organise something?
