The Port of Echuca is a living monument to the 1870's when it was Australia's largest inland port and indeed the third largest port in Australia outside Sydney and Melbourne. Authentic steam driven paddlesteamers depart daily from the Echuca Wharf which originally extended 333 metres in length in the 1880's and has been recently been reconstructed.Home of the TV series "All the Rivers Run", the Port of Echuca will provide you with a glimpse of what live was really like in the late 1800's. With the new Discovery Centre now open, it is indeed an attraction not to be missed.

Our guide for our tour was Jenny. The brilliant knowledge she shares & the wit with which she imparts it are a delight. The port is also well worth the entry fee; you will leave well pleased with your outing!

The Echuca pier is fascinating and the precinct around it is well presented, clean and tidy with a wide range of historically interesting places to visit and to eat. Try breakfast at The Bridge Hotel, really good. The feature is the museum which is reasonably priced and well presented. It does a great job of presenting life in Echuca at... More

When we arrived, we were expecting just a museum type of experience. When we purchased tickets, we were told that there was a tour available, at no extra cost, so we decided to go along. The tour is very informative, and very interesting and you can see some places that are not accessible otherwise. It explains all the history of... More

Loved the working steam saw mill with all the steam engines, belts, pulleys and saws that would have been used to many years ago. The stage coach rides looked like fun also. A real treasure on the Murray!

Booked the tickets online and called into the Port to pick up our tickets and menu's. Staff were very helpful and gave us directions to our vessel. Lots of old world features around the port and some free parking in the adjacent Street.

One of the highlights is the parade of paddlesteamers on Easter Sunday This year not many participants and lack of commentary about the history of each. This should have been a showcase for promoting the area. Unfortunately the worst parade for many years ,please tourism board get some people who know how to put on regular promotions to attract more... More

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Easter Spectacular Event. I have noted your comments & will pass them onto the paddlesteamer operators who organised the sailpast this year, as part of the Easter Spectacular event. Clearly there were some issues which will need to be rectified before next year's event. Thanks again for your input. More

had a good time strolling through the old main street and seeing a bit of history of the area. souvenir prices were a bit over the top but you have to expect that. found a wonderful art gallery run by the artist Glenda Cornell. Wonderful works.

I have been here 4 times in the past year!!! I love the Port of Echuca so much I will be back for more. Definitely a must do when visiting Echuca.
