The loch Park is accessible by car and walking. The walk is good with great views but, not to be done on really hot days. Must take own water and refreshments. A nice place to spend a quiet afternoon with your partner. Good if you’re...More

There is a nice park beside the lock where you can picnic. It is interesting to see the lock in action when the paddle steamers come in. Worth a look if you have never seen a lock in action before.

It was interesting to see the operation of the lock from the decks of the paddle wheeler Melbourne as the water level changed.

The notice boards around give you a good understanding of the lock and weir system. I was lucky to see it fill up, open the gates and ...... let a duck through :) The grounds around Lock 11 are beautiful.

Hi Chris, I am not a hundred per cent sure the times but I will make some enquiries and get back to you ASAP. From memory I think it is around 2.00 p.m as we did the afternoon cruise.
