If you are passing by it is well worth a stop to have a look at this unique engineering feat. Better still, take the Port of Sale cruise where Allen will explain in detail how it all works and it’s history.

If you're lucky enough to see the bridge in action it really is interesting. We caught it opening recently and crossed over it on our bikes. Lovely, quiet location, perfect for a family picnic or bike ride along the tracks.

If you’re interested in engineering then go and have a look at this. It’s easy to get to. Unfortunately when I was visiting I didn’t get to see it in operation.
