Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Kalgoorlie Town Hall is the centre of this gold-rich city. Kalgoorlie is Australia's most populous outback city. The Town Hall's furnishings are rich in gold and red. Don't miss the statue of Paddy Hannan, the Irish prospector who discovered the world's richest goldfield. No matter the setbacks, Kalgoorlie always bounces back.

We went on the tour of the Town Hall with an excellent guide who really knew his history of the Town Hall! There is so much to take in and the main hall is so amazing with such old world charm. You can see how people in the past would have flocked to it as their entrainment in the area. Still used today for special occasions and the hand painted curtain was lovely to see. Totally amazing.

Kalgoorlie people are proud of their city, the Queen of the Outback. The luxurious Town Hall dates from the time when Kalgoorlie was awash with gold, making it one of the world's richest goldfields. Don't miss the statue of Paddy Hannan, the Irish prospector who put Kalgoorlie on the map. The Kalgoorlie Town Hall is a monument to civic pride.

We took the tour of the Kalgoorlie Town Hall and it was excellent. It’s a beautiful building and is full of stories and interesting history. The guide, Tim, was great. He has a vast knowledge, tells a good story and tells his stories with plenty of humour. Highly recommended.

It was a privilege to meet historian Tim Moore on our tour of Kalgoorlie Town Hall and we bumped into him again at Boulder Town Hall. Tim's vast knowledge of not only the buildings but WA history was exceptional and engaging. Highly recommend these tours.

Beautiful Town hall. That was brought to life by an amazing historian Tim. This tour was by far the best we have ever encountered. Tim is passionate about Kalgoorlie boulder history. His knowledge was extraordinary and fun at the same time. We also did his other tour at the boulder Town hall. That was amazing at only $5 I would have paid more. !

Cool and beautiful. The fascinating history of famous entertainers who visited from afar. This gorgeous building must have been like a cultural oasis in the desert. How marvellous that it is preserved. The fellow in the War Museum was attentive and unfailingly helpful to a lady who was looking for ancestors in the files.

The Town Hall, and the time of the visit, depicted the 'Famous Sports' people of Kalgoorlie. At the same time, it contained the War Museum as well as a display on 100 years of rail in the Kalgoorlie area.

This is the Boulder Town Hall which is different to the Kalgoorlie Town Hall.
I took the free tour which is at 1:30pm each Tuesday.
Our tour guide Tim was very knowledgeable on all things Kalgoorlie and Boulder and we learned a lot about the history of Boulder and the Town Hall building.
The highlight of the tour was the Philip Goatcher curtain and the history of the curtain.
Well worth visiting.
Note : the Town Hall is not open every day inside to view, so plan your visit to see the inside as well as the outside.
