Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

Bought a combined ticket to see both Lake Cave and Mammoth Cave and was pleased they had very different features. It is a self guided tour with headphones provided. The views in the cave are wonderful and you walk around on boardwalks and up stairs. Leaving the caves was quite tiring ,involving climbing up the stairs to the top of... More

Im not a great fan of such tours. But Im glad that my husband convinced me to go. It is worth the $$ and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The long climb up is not as tiring as I expected and I will say it is definitely a must visit for families , children or adults alike.

Mammoth Cave is easily reached by car or, as I did, via a tour company organized trip. The cave is enormous and simply magnificent, with walkways to assist your journey through the cave and avoid damage to the stalagmites and stalactites. It's a beautiful place and has a spiritual aura. At the same time, headsets are provided for those who... More

Fantastic cave with plenty of lovely natural artworks to see. Pity the water has gone as that would just add the touch, but nonetheless a fantastic cave to visit

An awesome cave with great audio soundtrack. Some fantastic features and also well worth doing the extra 700 meter walk through the forest.

Really enjoyed our self guided tour of Mammoth Cave. The audio MP3 was excellent with just enough information to keep us all interested (kids included) without too much stopping and and starting. Highly recommended. The four cave pass also works out to be good value too and isn't limited by time so if you live in the region you can... More

Visited these caves independently during a d few days I'm Margaret River region. Fabulous experience of an awesome natural phenomenon. A well presented experience without the " tackiness " of other cave experiences. The overground walk was also very good. Good value for money. Possibly not suited to those with mobility issues.
