Redgate Beach/Calgardup Bay is beautiful but it can be quite treacherous when there is any swell around due to strong rips and undercurrents. This is a popular surf break with the locals but not recommended for beginners. The views from the lookout and memorial plaque,...More

Redgate Beach is very picturesque and great for fishing but very dangerous for swimming, surfing etc, lives have been lost here so read the warning signs as they are there for a reason.

we spent a long time here exploring the breathtaking environment. Wild waves and dramatic ocean scenes in juxtaposition to the rolling quiet landscape and hills.

Great beach location with carpark & toilets. plenty to see & do .But watching the wave crash into the rocks is something to be seen. You can watch for hours.

A bit of a walk down a track brings you onto a lovely sandy beach in a sheltered cove good for paddling. No lifeguard so not sure about swimming and currents. Great for sunbathing. There is a spring or river near the sand dunes which...More

While this beach is nice to look at there are 3 rips (2 seasonal and 1 permanent) within a short space of each other which makes it stupid to swim near. There have also been recent shark sightings at this beach yet you still see...More

The rocky outcrops and the crashing waves make this a spectacular beach - while the water looks inviting, there are also shark warning signs... Maybe just enjoy the walking trail

In its essence this beach is amazing. But if you don't understand the currents or aren't a strong swimmer I wouldn't recommend going here. The waves are quite dumpy and the rips are strong and volatile.
